Donations
Our services are funded privately and by the Ministry of Children and Family
Development of British Columbia. However, the government budget is extremely
streamlined and is becoming ever more so. It does not really reflect the actual
costs of the programs we provide. Government funding does not cover our administration,
therapy, or cultural enrichment program costs. Therefore we are extremely
grateful for your support. Your donation, regardless of amount, will make
a difference in the quality of life for every one of our companions with special
needs.
Ways of Giving
Most of our charitable gifts come from or through individuals. Gifts, of cash,
securities, real estate, as well as planned giving are a few ways to contribute.
If you or someone you know serve(s) on the board of trustees of a foundation
or corporation with a charitable giving program, please contact Patricia Smith
at 604/987-3407, or email her here,
to talk about the appropriateness of Cascadia submitting a proposal for funding.
Many companies participate in matching gift plans that allow you to double or triple the impact of your gift. Ask for a matching gift form from your personnel department and return the completed form with your contribution.
Honor the life and memory of a beloved family member, friend, respected colleague or anyone of your choice by designating your gift to the Cascadia Society as a Memorial Gift to that individual. The Cascadia Society will notify relatives of that person, with your permission.
The Cascadia Society is a registered BC Non-Profit Society, Charitable registration No. 87241 3729 RR0001. All donors will receive a tax receipt and our newsletter.
