On Monday afternoon, everybody gathered in to Circle Hall and did dancing with Jane.

Tuesday morning some companions went to Circle Hall and watched the coworkers practice eurythmy for Holy Week.

In our Thursday morning College, Ruth T. told us about the development of the human being. In the beginning, human beings were one with the gods. Throughout the 2000 years that has passed, the connection with the gods was lost and now people are asking what is the true meaning of being a human being. We also learned that in Ancient Greece people wrote on their temples ‘know thy self’. We also learned that only wealthy people had the possibility to go to school and to learn about the wisdom of the human being connected to the gods.

After a short break, Lorna’s bell choir practiced for the Palm Sunday concert.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, we broke in to our eurythmy, painting, reading, writing, clay and novel groups. Another group set up Circle Hall for our Palm Sunday performance.

Palm Sunday Celebration

On Sunday afternoon, our families and friends came to Circle Hall to take part in our Palm Sunday celebration. Ruth T. welcomed everybody and told us what our program is going to look like for the afternoon. She told us that our bell concert is a tribute to our friend Marianne who worked with co

mpanions from the very start of Cascadia in 1988 to now. Also Ruth welcomed our former coworker Jun back from Vancouver Island.
After that we opened up our celebration by singing ‘O welcome to you’
Then Lorna conducted our Bell and String choir in a short but wonderful concert. During our concert Aiden, William, Jeff and Steven played along on their string instruments. Aiden ,William and Jeff played the Cello and Steven played the psalter.

In between bell pieces, Ruth and Barbara played the lyre.

After our Bell performance we broke in to two walking groups. One group walked with Ruth T. to the ravine and dropped petals in the creek in order to send best wishes to the sea. Another group walked with Patricia and Barbara to the park and the creek in the other direction, and also sent good wish magnolia blossoms down the creek.
