This week in our Monday morning gathering, we sang our spring songs like ‘Love has Come Again’, ‘Welcome to You.’ I have heard a Robin Singing in the Rain’, and ‘Winter is Past.’ After that we talked about the weather, stars, sports and our weekends. We also welcomed back Diane and her mother.
In our Thursday morning college, Ruth T. announced that this coming week, we are going to have a music week with Channa. Then John told us about King Solomon. King Solomon was born in 970 B.C. He was the son of King David who killed the giant Goliath. We also learned that he had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines. He built the very first temple in Jerusalem and it was called the Holy place of all Holies. King Solomon was considered a wise and caring ruler. In 931 B.C. at the age of forty, Solomon died.
During our bell playing, Lorna announced that on May 17, 2016, we will perform a concert at the Hope Centre.
