This week in our Monday morning gathering, Ruth T. told us that today is Ita Wegman’s birthday. Ita Wegman was born February 22nd, 1874 on the island of Karawam in West Java. She wanted to become a doctor and so she studied medicine. She successfully became a doctor, and then worked closely with Rudolf Steiner. She built up a medical clinic in Arlesheim, Switzerland. Our sister community in Duncan has her name. It is called the Ita Wegman Association.
After that we talked about the weather, stars, sports and our weekend.
In our Thursday morning college, Aiden told us about the ancient gods of Greece such as Zeus, the god from heaven, Hercules, the earth god and Hades. He also told us that at the ancient Greek temples people offered sacrifices to the gods. After that Daniel told us about a copy of the Parthenon temple which is located in Nashville. Then John told us about how the structure of the temple was built.
