This week in our Monday morning gathering, we started to sing our January song called ‘January Round’ and our Candlemas song ‘Every February the Second’. After that we talked about the weather, stars and our weekend. Then we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Simran.
In the afternoon we went into our four groups and talked about love, compassion, faithfulness and forgiveness. We are having these conversations to prepare the West Coast Gathering, which is in California this year. Monique and Clara are going to go there and tell them about what we did.
On Tuesday morning, the grade seven class from Saint Edmund’s elementary school came to Cascadia. During their visit they toured the different workshops and even took part in most of them.
In our Thursday morning College, Patricia asked everybody, “What is Camphill to you? Some answered; respect for others, community, and festivals. Patricia told us that there are over 100 Camphills in the world. After that we transformed Circle Hall to look like the ‘Goetheanum’ and put on costumes and pretended that we were pillars and we moved forming a figure eight.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we divided into our eurythmy, painting, reading, writing, clay and games groups. Also we had a good bye party for our volunteer Jenny.

Fred has now moved to Evergreen and we expect him to come to our day program once he is settled. He's getting used to his new digs and excited to find out what kinds of activities are going on there including art!
