This week in our Monday morning gathering, we sang our January songs and then we talked about our our theme for carnival this year, which will be the country of India. After that we talked about the weather, stars and our weekends. In the afternoon we gathered into Circle Hall and did exercises, games and dancing.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, we broke into our eurythmy, painting, reading, writing, swimming, and spacial dynamics groups.
In our Thursday morning college, Ruth O. talked to us about the culture of India. Then Simran spoke about the language of Hindi and the diversity of the country of India. We also learned that there are twenty seven states in India. After that, we practiced saying some words in the Hindi language like for example ‘om’ from the old Sanskrit. After a short break, we gathered into Circle Hall to prepare for our Indian Carnival by drawing pictures of elephants, gods,Taj Mahal and decorative patterns.
In the afternoon, Gundula’s friend, Purnima from India came and taught us an Indian dance.
