This week at Cascadia we had two special days. On Wednesday morning, Gundula, Daniel, Norbie and I went downtown to the Burrard Street Bridge where our picture was taken with the piano that was painted pink by the Cascadia companions.. A young man named Sam who is a famous pianist played Chopin for us and then we had lunch on the beach.

What a great excursion to launch our piano on the bridge! Here is a picture of Sam, Norbie, Sean Pacey, Patricia, Gundula, Daniel and Anthony. The piano has a spectacular view over English Bay.

On Thursday morning a group of companions and coworkers drove to Grouse Mountain. There we took the gondola to the very top. We watched the world famous Lumberjack Show. During the show, the actors and the narrator showed us what life was like in the 1800s when people chopped down trees and built things out of wood.

After the show, we broke into two groups. One group went for a walk and another group watched a movie called ‘Wings of Life.’
