On Monday afternoon we gathered in to Circle Hall to watch a presentation of a Japanese Tea ceremony. Our tea master Etsuko welcomed us to the Tea ceremony and then she told us the history of where Japanese tea comes from and when the ceremony originally started. After that she showed us how the tea is made and how it is presented. Then some of the companions tasted the tea and also had a sweet with it.

After our ceremony, we went for a walk in the sunshine to Kaspar House garden and back to the Centre.

This week in our Thursday Morning College, Caity and her Mom told us her life story. We learned that Caity was born in Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver in 1994. We also learned that Caity went to Blue Ridge Elementary school and then to Windsor High School. Caity and her Mom showed us pictures of her family and friends from the time that she was a new born until now. We also learned that she enjoys going to Camp Squamish and taking part in the activities. She isn’t afraid to try new things.

After a short break, Lorna’s bell choir practiced for the Spring Concert.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon, we broke in to our eurythmy, painting, reading, writing, walking, novel, swimming and singing groups.
