This week in our Tuesday morning circle, Ruth O. announced that her daughter, Rosemary gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday at 11:00 am.

We sang Happy Birthday to our friend Dick and to our coworker Cliff.

Welcome back to Cascadia Dick Hasegawa!

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings everybody worked in his or her workshops. In the afternoons, we broke into our eurythmy, painting and clay groups.

This week in our Thursday morning college, we had a Forum meeting to discuss our activities for this year. First, we talked about Michaelmas and Thanksgiving. After that we planned our October events. For our Halloween celebration we are going to have our yearly ‘carving pumpkin night’ on Monday, October 29th. We decided to do a farm theme for this year’s Halloween party. We are going to dress up as farm animals and farm workers. We are also going to have games relating to the farm.

In November, we are having all Saints day on November 1st and then we are going to have All Souls’ Day, on November 2nd. On November the 11th, our Centre will be closed because of Remembrance Day.
There will be a dress rehearsal for our play ‘Hansel and Gretel’ on November 28. The next day, on November 29, we will perform our play at 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, and 8:00 pm at the Kay Meek Centre.

Five days later, on December 4th, there is JSR (Just Singin’ Round) at the Rowing Club. On December 20th, we are having our Christmas party at the centre.
Cascadia will reopen on January 2nd.

After a short break, we practiced for our fairy tale on the bells.

Friday afternoon, we sang with Forrest.
