This week in our Monday morning circle, Jade told us about her trip to San Francisco. Also we sang Happy Birthday to Melina.
Aiden and Daniel went to Port Coquitlam to display art work at a wonderful art show Cascadia will be involved in to honour the 25th Anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion tour. The picture on the poster is by Fred Collins.
In the afternoon, we went to Summerhill to practice our tango steps. Then Sebastian taught us how to promenade.
On Tuesday morning, the basket workshop worked at Sophia house clipping willows and everybody else worked in their workshops.
In the afternoon we broke into our clay, painting and eurythmy groups.
Wednesday morning, the farm group went to C-Dar farm. The rest of us worked in our workshops. Alistair, our master basket weaver, showed us how to make birds out of willows.
In the afternoon, we broke into our reading, writing and painting groups. Because of the sunny weather, the painters decided to walk around the track.
This week in our Thursday morning college, Ruth T. taught us that the Zodiac is connected to our body. After a short break, we went to Sophia house and practiced bells for our play.
Back at the centre, Gundula’s group did drawing.
After lunch, we went into our clay, novel or eurythmy groups.
Friday morning, everybody worked in his or her workshops. We sang Happy Birthday to Sherrene and ate her birthday cup cakes at lunch.
In the afternoon, some companions went swimming and others stayed back and sang with Forrest. Also that afternoon, the grade two class from the Waldorf School did gardening projects in our gardens.
