Simran and Mary present to us about rhythm in architecture

This week in our Monday morning gathering, we sang our Spring songs and then Gundula read to us this week’s ‘Calendar of the Soul’ verse. After that everybody shared their weekend. In Deepak’s feature of ‘Today in History’ he told us that in 1968 Martin Luther King’s funeral was held. Then Gundula and Jeff spoke about last week’s weather and John and William talked about the stars.
In our Thursday morning College, Simran, John and Mary taught us about the rhythms in architecture. To start off, Sim Ran wrote the Fibonacci sequence on the blackboard. The sequence was 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21. Each number after the first two numbers equals the sum of the two numbers before it . For example 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5,3+5=8. After that most of the companions went up to the front and counted in different languages Spanish, French, Punjabi, German, and Japanese. Then John spoke to us about sacred geometry. After that Mary showed us pictures of rhythm in architecture. We looked at famous buildings like the Colosseum, Taj Mahal, Guggenheim Museum and other buildings from around the world. After a short break, the College group went for a walk.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we divided into our regular groups.
