This week we had two parties to say good bye to our co-workers, Laura and Golnaz.
Thursday morning, we gathered into Circle Hall where the students of the Cascadia Academy presented their projects. To start off, Bridget and Amber told us about their baking and showed us pictures of Amber baking cookies, cinnamon rolls and a cake.
After that, Gundula and Stephen C. presented a cat basket that they made together out of willows . They told us about the tools that were used and they also showed us pictures of making the basket.
In the last presentation of the morning, Monique and Aiden presented two felted balls that they made for Aiden’s nephew. They explained how they made them.
In the afternoon we gathered back in Circle Hall to watch the last three presentations. Felix and Linda presented to us a walking and drawing project. They showed us Linda’s drawings of a field with people walking on a track.
Then Barbara and Norbie showed us a sign that they developed for Circle Hall. They showed us the white and dark clay that they used.
In the last presentation, Markus who is from Vancouver Island told us how he started jogging with Gary who at the beginning was not a happy participant, but now he looks forward to it.
After all of the presentations were over all of the students got their certificates for passing their first year of Cascadia Academy.
