This week in our Monday morning gathering, we sang our November songs and ‘Happy Birthday’ to Hanieh. After that Ruth T. talked to us about All Soul’s Day. Then, we lit candles to remember those who we lost over the years and the people in Syria.
During our Tuesday lunch break, I interviewed our co-worker, Christina. Christina was born in Hamburg in 1999. She went to a Rudolf Steiner school. Her hobbies are horseback riding and playing volleyball. She came to Cascadia to visit her friends and to gain new experiences.
From Monday to Friday afternoon, we broke into our eurythmy, painting, clay, walk, games and lantern making groups.
In our Thursday morning college, we sang our Saint Martin songs and then acted out the story. When Saint Martin (Aiden),riding his horse (Vitor) comes upon a beggar (Jeff) who is cold and doesn’t have any warm clothing, he cuts his cloak in half to give to the beggar. The co-workers told us that Saint Martin’s day is celebrated in Germany.
After a short break, Lorna’s bell choir practiced for the fairy tale, The Devil and the Three Golden Hairs which we will be performing on November 26th.
